Paralegal Mistake #2: Neglecting Your Continuing Education

Paralegal Mistake #2: Neglecting Your Continuing Education

Once you land your first legal job (and no…school is not necessary to enter this career!), the temptation may be to place future education on the back burner.

BEFORE you apply for a paralegal position, be sure to check out my class:

Paralegal Inner Circle Class (Get on the Wait List!)

But the truth is, you’re just getting started. It’s important to focus on your current position, however, AFTER two to three months on the job it will be time to think about what webinars or seminars you might attend to add to your legal knowledge, such as:

National Business Institute Seminars (Paralegals)

Do not neglect the above steps!

Also, explore online what books and resources are available that might be beneficial to your career specialty. Here are a few of my favorites:

Legal Break-In Book

Legal Terminology Pamphlet (Quick Study)

Workers Compensation Practice for Paralegals

Introduction to Paralegalism (Williams Statsky – 2016)

Keep track of every new skill learned and add them to your resume!
